Learning module 06 / 06

Cases and integrated practice

Make a decision before consulting cases, then independently complete a requirements-to-retrospective practice report.

Learning goal and artifact

Four case decision notes and an integrated practice report

Complete and self-check the connected workshop first, then attempt the extension with fictional or authorized material you select. Reading alone does not establish capability.

Concept summaries

Cases train judgment

The gateway trains milestones, migration trains architecture boundaries, Guardian Notes trains requirements and state, and retail trains evaluation and adoption. Answer discussion questions before the reference explanation; teaching data is not measured customer evidence.

Review practice through artifacts and decisions

Chapter 40 uses five stages: requirements, blueprints, implementation, acceptance and retrospective, totaling 100 points for internal learning review. Review artifact completeness and decision evidence; this grants no industry credential or employment guarantee.

Assemble evidence before independent transfer

Fictional client Qinghe Equipment: operators submit fault titles; dispatchers classify and confirm assignments. Lin approves scope, Chen approves data access, and Zhou owns operations. The pilot suggests categories to dispatchers without automatic assignment. Use synthetic tickets, with no client systems or external models.

Follow along: inputs, steps and reasoning

  1. Assemble files 01–05 and actual rule outputs in a practice folder. Check gaps individually; file counts do not establish competence.
  2. Decide on all four cases before reading explanations. Distinguish source recovery, data migration, state rules and evaluation red lines; do not reuse a generic answer.
  3. Choose a capstone topic and add an AI-assisted step with explicit value and risk. Transfer the method to the new scenario and submit every required FDE evidence item.

Worked example

“All files exist, therefore graduation” is invalid. Missing permission approval in 02, a red-line decision in 04 or successor evidence in 05 means evidence is incomplete. The foundation path assembles practice artifacts; real model delivery still needs authorized model runs and independent review.

Try independently first

Independent task: write 06-review.md with evidence and gaps for each of five files; record four case decisions; choose a capstone and specify the AI step, actions requiring human decisions and further review needed.

After answering, reveal reference and common errors

An honest incomplete result is valid. CRUD features alone are insufficient: include client events and permissions, per-case evaluation and handover rehearsal. For independent review, consult learning options and describe gaps; an inquiry does not establish available review or enrollment.

Record self-check progress

Stored only in this browser, not independent review approval. Use the downloaded workbook across devices; clearing browser data removes this record.

Extension exercise

Teaching exercise: choose a case and write your decision, evidence and missing information. Then select one of four capstone topics and prepare five-stage files, implementation and a retrospective. If no real architecture drift occurred, say so rather than manufacturing failure.

Use fictional or authorized deidentified material. Keep reports, implementation and checks in your own project; this site accepts no exercise uploads and performs no online grading.

Review criteria

  • Case notes contain decisions and evidence rather than repeating outcomes.
  • All five stages include artifacts, actual checks and limits; learning review is not external certification.

If criteria are unmet, record gaps and a correction plan, then review again with evidence. Confirm sharing permissions before instructor or peer review.
